Its about a 2,500 mile rounder and that should make it an easy 5 day run. All I need to do, is find the 5 days. I will start looking for them at the end of April. Besides, my staff needs a break from me, and I need some Desert time.......

what's a Journey without a map.....
Looks like a good plan. I'll be looking for the story.

No.... it would be a bit much for the old girl, and the old man. I will save her for shorter days.

Hmmmmm ...for sure... I would be going right through it on the way back. But it ends on Saturday, so to make it work, I would need to leave on the Thursday, and get there Friday night, take in the events on Saturday, and then do the loop back to Vegas, then two days home.... so it ends up being six days.... not that it matters... I have to see what kind of rooms are available.

The issue with late April, early May, is that there are a couple of Mountain passes going and coming, and if the weather is shitty, it could be snow up top.

**edit** I booked a room with last minute cancellation, in case the weather will not support a run over the mountains .... not cheap. But I got one for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Everything in Laughlin that was available was above my pay-scale, so I got one a bit out of town.

Rocky I could be out to lunch but have you checked the miles on that trip??? It looks more like 3000 miles... It would be a bugger to have to spend more time on the road than you thought it would be. Or was that the idea??? Yeah I know I'm being picky

Lol..... I will have to check, my kilometres to miles formula might be out. Mostly I need to get out of Dodge. But damn if it wasn’t snowing here last night. I am beginning to lose confidence that we even get summer this year.

Yes it’s been a long stretch. I haven’t had mine out yet. Sitting by the fireplace having my morning coffee and it’s -18 C. WTF and it’s April 8!
