A journey of her own.... She was about 12 and in grade six.... there was a science fair coming up and she picked her project, it was a Pickle that produced Electricity, and she placed first in her category in the school district.... then she went onto the regional's, and she placed second overall.... I was a pretty proud poppa.... and that was her introduction into what would become her passion.... Science.... This morning, she defended her Thesis, and now has her PhD in Geology.

When she was in New Zealand working on her Bachelors, so so long ago, she needed transport, so I bought her this scooter....

Like father, like daughter.... except her father is not a Doctor...

Seems like you can pull over anywhere and get a nice pic of the bike with that scenery.

A nice run down to Missoula overall.... if not a bit cool. Got across the border in just a few minutes as there was only a couple of cars ahead of me. A couple of questions then I was on my way. Had a quick sandwich and got going. I stopped again in Kalispell for fuel and a coffee and headed south.... when I got to the south end of town it looked like the weather on the other side of the lake looked iffy so I stayed on 93 and dialled the cruise control in to about 60 mph and let Darla float nicely through the sweepers all the way to Paulson, slowing down a bit in a few small communities. I stopped at the Church in St. Ignatius for a visit which I try to if I have the time. Sat in the quiet for a bit, then headed to Missoula.... it was a good day, roads where quiet, no rain and I took my time. Got into the motel, warmed up and got a burger .... tomorrow head back home via 200.

Just south of Kalispell, and it is snowing across the valley, so I stayed on the west side...

.... Flathead Lake ...

.... heading down the hill into Paulson...

...St Ignatius church, said to be one of the most beautiful churches anywhere....

.... Sister Dorothy walked me out, what a gentle spirit.

Rocky, have a safe ride. Clouds moved in and raining here. Last night it was 30% possibility.

I’m thinking some clam chowder at that floating restaurant in Hope, Idaho would be welcome. Also, forecasting sunshine, but still cool, when you hit Thompson Falls.
