Fischer Peak...

Ran into the boys out at Pekams Lake. Doug, in the orange is my head instructor; the other one is a new student on his first day in the truck.

So, how are you liking the new sled. They have a nice power band.

I have only put on about 60 miles so far. But it sure fits my frame size better. Seat is more comfortable & bars are in a better position. I have noticed it is smoother overall and it appears to handle a bit better. The transmission is easier to shift and it is easier to find neutral. The windshield height is exactly where I like it.

It is nice to have the cruise buttons on the left grip where it belongs. The power seems good but I really haven't had enough time yet on her to have a solid opinion on that.

She "Feels" like she handles better. That will become much more clear over time.

The clutch lever requires a bit more strength To pull it it. And it is a bit more Top heavy because of the trunk. The sitting position is different so I sometimes reach for the shifter to far and kick the kick the radiator ..... muscle memory will correct over time.

I have turned into one of those DickWads who drives down the road with his stereo way tooooo loud ...

I got a windshield pocket for her and my new Bigger iPhone 7 fits in the middle pocket .... lol .... so that is good. Actually it will be nice to have it there for easy & quick access for pictures.

I ordered a few Shiney Bits; pannier rails for the sides and tops, and a chrome filler for the rear between the panniers and fenders.

I will put the water bottles on the front of the Panniers and MOST importantly, the coffee cup holder fits.

I am "adjusting" the company over the next month so I can get away to Texas in May; but if the weather is good I will go on a short 3 day shake down run on Easter weekend. Cranbrook -> Missoula -> Nelson BC - and home Via Kootenay lake road.

Best of luck and many happy miles with your new ride.

I need the sound right at my ears, so i use the speakers in my helmet. you might try that, it works well and if needed the phone is paired, so music and emergency calls if required.

Nice pics of the mountains.

Default And So It Begins ....

....again.

AFOOT and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.

No issues getting across the border. Although the Officer did kind of look at me like I was a bit nuts riding this early around here. I have not seen one bike since I got going this morning. A bit cool, and a smattering of rain drops here and there. Darla is performing wonderfully. I just need to get use to that trunk at slow speeds. I am heading to Missoula and it is about 2 or so hours from here in Whitefish. If the Army & Navy is open I will pop in and poke around a bit.
