I am shooting for Thunder Bay tomorrow and a campground there.

I went through 10,300 miles today, and over 8,500 miles on this run. And I am about 1/2 way from Fairbank, Alaska to St Johns Newfoundland .

It's been a slice. More coming.
While you are in Thunder Bay just west is Kakabeka Waterfalls right off the Trans-Canadian Hwy. a must stop. Also just north of town is Ouimet Canyon is also a must see on your journeys. Google either one and I think you will agree. Ride safe...always enjoy your pictures.

You are in for a treat at the top of the lake where the road follows close to the lake. I wish my work load were different, I would love to meet up, I usually ride around it once or twice a year. Also the section south of Wawa to the Sault Ste Marie is great also. You will find some memorable sights. As far as camping goes let me know what you find. Thunder bay is a one day ride from Mpls. I Done the KOA east of thunder bay, nice but bring ear plugs those truck tires are loud at 2 AM, Sleeping Giant is a nice campground as well but it is up to 20 miles off the road. Rainbow Falls around Schreiber is nice, they are a two park system. The lake side park is small right off the road, the other one is about one mile down the road on the left, in the woods. then their are two large parks for next day depending on your travel time closer to the Sault that are on the water that are cool if you can get a site on the water. Think they have 100 or 200 sites each. Pretty safe from animals in those. Back up around thunder bay is the monument for Terry Fox who was running across Canada with one leg if you need a break, watch for the sign , north of 11/17 at Hodder Ave. South on Hodder are some ma and pa motels if needed.

Big weather just north. A splash of wet last night. Looks like it is unsettled for the next few days. It was pretty quiet t in the motel last night. But no damn coffee. Hard to pack with NoCuppaJoe.

Stopped in Kenora for Second Breakfast. Nice little city right on the lake. Going to head south on 71 to 11 and into Thunder Bay.

Looks like on radar the heavy rain passed to the south. On 11 you will pass a large sign on your right that says All water flows north, think that's what it said, cant miss it, kind of a cool rest area in the middle of nowhere, its a peace full chunk of road.

Don't pack your cold weather gear to deep, you might need it over the top if you have a south wind! FYI
