A quiet low mile day. Go figure, there is a 120 outlet in the bathroom in the campground. So I will have coffee when I break camp tomorrow.

Down the Parkway tomorrow, and hook west to Golden and down. I won't take a chance the road in Kootenay National Park is any good, smoke wise. Besides; the ride through Yoho is pretty cool, as well as the road from Golden to Radium.

I will get out a few more times this summer, but I have to go bury my nose into work for a few months. That's ok, not like I didn't get my turn this year.

I just rolled over 17,000 (27,000 kilometers) miles today. And almost all of that was in a 10 week period with two weeks of down time. I need about another 2,500 miles to surpass last year. That should be easy. But I probably won't hit my 30,000/40,000 mile targets. Unless Gary gets to come back to work, but he is recovering slowly, so no real hope of that. Of course, his health is more important than my riding. It is, what it is.

I did ok.

Well thanks again for the pictures. Between you and Scorpio we've got to see a lot of country.

I am in a 1,200 sq ft building and we are redlined on space. The business next door is looking for a larger building and when he moves I am taking over his lease. It is the same size as mine. When that happens (I am really hoping it is this fall) our offices will go over there, and that will free up some space on this side. MANCAVE!! I would have enough room for both bikes and a bench. Heated space with a double door entry. And room for a couch, TV, etc. And an office for me, which I don't have.

I have been waiting for this move for two years. My big issue is my Tractors & Trailers. I have the ideal set up for ingress/egress for the students and would have a very difficult time finding better.

I would be able to get a ride on/roll off air lift for the Pan. That is what I really want.

She went inside before I left. Enough room for 2 bikes side by side.

Big smoke in the Rocky Mountain trench. Just outlines of Mountains.

It was a pretty good ride down from Jasper to Cranbrook today. I did go via Field/Golden and down from there. It was pretty cool this morning, and I had the electrics on all the way from Jasper to Saskatchewan River Crossing. Oh ya, about SRC, don't go there unless you are in desperate need of just about anything. A hot dog is $8.00, and it might be the cheapest thing in the store. And if you get gas, make sure you have two credit cards with you..... you might need the room. I stopped in and had a muffin and a coffee.... $7.00.

I met some folks there and had a good chat, they where on a bus tour of the Rockys and home for them was somewhere around Maryland.

The sky was decent from Jasper to SRC, but then the smoke settled in, and by the time I got to the TransCanada, it was pretty bad. Then south of Golden, it got worse. You saw the picture, that was just north of Radium.

Something about a full moon and a long weekend. I think I saw every BatCrapCrazzy meathead out there today. Especially between Lake Louise and Golden. Then it got better until Radium, then it got busy again.

I did get quite a few picts, so here goes......

Looking back towards Jasper...

...If you look for it, you can still find old remants of the original road...

From the look out just south of the Ice fields.

Random Mountains.....

...ditto...
