I agree with the Pan but you're Darla's a beautiful bike that I'd find hard to sell.

I find it difficult to get attached to inanimate objects. I am done with the ‘017. She gave me all I wanted. The Pan is a work in progress . There is a lot I want to do on her and will begin this spring. Then some more the following year. I also want to do some serious touring on her.

I think of it as a step back that carries me forward. I have been waiting my whole life to do this.... I just didn’t fully comprehend that until the first time I kicked her into life and rode her away.

Darla is representative of the Journey. So there will always be Darla, no matter what shape she takes.... She is a shapeshifter.

I think I can see a slower Journey for Darla. This should be fun to watch unfold. Please keep up the great stories and awesome pictures.

Sounds good Rocky I'm sure you'll have many adventures with whatever your riding and hopefully many many miles. And on the plus side there's always another bike one can buy when the urge hits lol.

That’s what I told the owner of the Harley shop.

Your right. The dynamics of the rides will change. When your peddling along at 70, lots of good pictures zip by before you can stop. Traveling slower will make for more photos. And because I won’t be going as far each day, there will be more places I will stop in. So more people to meet. Also, the big decker can be intimidating to some folks. And the sheer magnetism of an old bike will garner more chatting. It will be interesting to see how the Journey changes for sure.
