Default Daytona 2017 Advice

My brother and I are going to be riding down to Daytona from STL next year for bike week. I just wanted to see what ya'll think about places to stay, things to do and stuff of that nature. I would love to hear some stories about times you've been and anything else concerning it, as well!

I haven't been in a while so I don't have any recommendations other than you best be booking your hotel pretty soon, they fill up quick mostly with those who attended Bike Week 2016. Be prepared to stay a ways from Daytona.

Thank you for the response, sir. I plan to book the hotel tomorrow. I figured I'd put up a post and see if I can get some recommendations.

The best bbq is in Deland behind Lowe's at a place called Rachel's wing shack. The fried chicken livers are pretty damn good too.

We stayed in Ormond beach about 5 miles north of Daytona. You can go on VRBO like we did and rent a house for the week. Usually around $1000 to $1200 a week. I'm guessing much the same as a hotel would cost during bike week. Like one of the previous posts said I wouldn't wait too long to book. It's busy there during bike week.
Cheers and safe riding!

Not sure how long you are going to be at bike week but I would plan a ride down to key west and stay there a night or two.

I am lucky when I go to Daytona as my buddy's daughter lives close to Daytona so we stay there. We normally take a day and ride to Key West and party there for a night or two and then head back.

As other said reserve soon and also in Key West as they fill up quick for rooms too.
