Hey guys,I am leaving for Key West from Clearwater,FL on 4/18 and looking for help on inexpensive places to stay along the way. I know the Keys aren't cheap,but I am on a budget. Traveling alone,I don't need a lot of amenities, just a place to rest my head. Camping is out, my body is too old to sleep on the ground. Any help will be greatly appreciated. And thanks to all you guys on the forum who helped me map out my trip. You've been a great help.

 

Don't think cheap and keys west go together I'll be their Wednesday think it's costing me around $250. A night. Last time we stayed in marathon at CoCo cay resort. Just south of airport and rode down to KW every morning

The Blue Marlin downtown Key West has a good rate if you go direct if you call for a reservation it's a lot more same goes for Sugar Loaf Resort

 

Used to stay at Southwinds Motel on Simonton, One blockf rom Duval way back in July '12. Cost me $79 a night and just looked up. Range from $300 +/-. Yikes, I wouldn't spend that kind of money just to get 8 hours worth of goodnight's sleep.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am thinking maybe I should stay in Marathon and ride to Key west from there. Any suggestions for there?

 

Give Parmers Resort on Little Torch Key a look.
We stayed their a week in a room with a kitchen.
Parmers Resort has a free breakfast bar, pool and is waterfront.
Located about 25 miles from Key West.
The owner rides a Harley, we swapped t-shirts.

 

Well how did the trip go?
