Default RIDING Across America (My SECOND COMING)

So after a super amazing ride in 2010 we decided to go again in 2011 it was addictive and because we had such a great experience we wanted to see more of America....
Again we started in Orlando a great Dealership to rent from we got great service and always friendly

The plan was to go a bit longer this time and again finish in San Francisco to drop the bike off at Dudley Perkins as again another one way rental

Its nice when you are familiar with how things work and it was important we had no issues at collection and at drop off ...every thing in between was random and we took each day as it came with a more or less route in mind

I had a few wish list items and the route fell into place according to that

trip went as follows

Orlando to Charleston(rich in history) to Virginia beach to Washington DC (to see the monuments)to New York(apparently the most beautiful City in the World) to Cleveland(Rock n roll music hall of fame)to Chicago (see the Bean ,go up Willis tower ,and cruise lake Michigan )to Milwaukee(see the HD museum) to Keystone (to see mount Rushmore) to Sturgis (to see the town all the rally goers see) to Yellowstone park (which i read about as a kid and the geysers and the bison) to Salt Lake City (to see the lake and the bonneville salt flats) to Reno (because i had been to Vegas)and then San Francisco finally because to me it is the most beautiful city in the world

again it was a trip of a life time
some highlights excluded above:
my GPS failing while riding into New York on a Friday month end
leaving NY in the dark early hours to avoid the traffic and freezing our nuts off

visiting the Pioneer museum in a town called Murdo South Dakota
staying in the Occidental Hotel in Buffalo Wyoming
Riding on snow and ice in the mountains before Yellowstone park
visiting mount Rushmore and the Harley Museum and seeing the old faithful geyser in Yellowstone are worth mentioning again
we had many more that only an experience on a bike will relate

again we were blessed to meet awesome folks and see places i had only dreamt of or seen in pictures....a true true honour to have seen it in real life

we had to do this again and so we did ...but this time it had to wait until 2013 which is another post again
