Request comments/suggestions on this TX route
(Oops! Saw that I spelled "request" wrong in the title right after submitting. Can't edit that now.)
I haven't ridden much in Texas, but I've been following various threads about good roads in the Lone Star State. I've been tinkering in Google Maps and came up with this route for a day trip when I get there. I'm open to suggestions and changes. I'm going to ride there with a riding buddy starting in the Kansas City area...we'll spend a leisurely day on the intended route...then ride back home.

Alt suggestion
Frank,
I'm not an expert, but have ridden that area numerous times. You might look at heading S. On 16 from Kerrville to Hwy 337 just N of Medina. R. On 337 to Vanderpool. The Lone Star MC Museum is in VPool if so inclined. R. On 187, then L. On 337 to Leakey. The Bent Rim on 337 on the west side of Leakey has excellent burgers/food, view, and a nice retail shop. Cont. W on 337 to Camp Wood, then R on 55 to Barksdale. R on 335 to 41. L. On 41 to 377, then R. On 377 to Junction.
The twister or three sisters are 335, 336 and 337 and the best in the area. Enjoy the ride!

Does 335 north of Barksdale have a pretty good road surface? My riding buddy is a little older and doesn't feel comfortable on cattle grates, gravel, etc. I looked at it on Street View and it appears to be a fine 2-lane road from one end to the other.

Here's a map of the Three Sisters - FM335,FM336,FM337. Drop your route a little further south of Kerrville.
Enjoy the trip!
