The local pub we visited when there in 1987 had pasties. Was only there for 24 hours and had done nothing but driving so I didn't have one them. Taking a little more time to smell the roses this trip and trying to figure a way to squeeze one more day.

Looks like you got some great advice here. Lude-A-Tick pretty much nailed it. I'll add a bit seeing this is my stomping grounds. You can have a lot of fun riding M35 back and forth from Gwinn out to 480. Another good loop would be 35 to Rock from Little Lake then left on Maple Ridge Rd in Rock out to 41 and left on 41 back to Harvey.
H58 in Munising to Grand Marais is a must do! Definitely the best ride in the entire area. Marquette to Big Bay is also another very nice ride. Depending on what days you're here, The Throttle Bar in Little Lake has Thursday night bike nights and The UpNorth Lodge in Gwinn has Tuesday bike nights. Also some great food. (Known for their ribs) You can get a pasty pretty much anywhere.
Marquette has the 4th of July parade downtown, but prior to the parade start there is a Harley parade down the same route. Open to all, and you can get more info at the local dealership. There is festival along the lake in Marquette over the 4th weekend as well at the Lower Harbor.
Hopefully you have good weather!

Marquette is a awesome town, do yourself a favor and take a day in Marquette. Lots of great places to eat and drink.

The Up North Lodge is a great place to eat in Gwinn.

Ketchup or gravy is an argument that's as old as the Pastie itself. To each his/her own.
