Adventures with the "Scorpios"
September 02, 2017.
Today was the annual Corunna Legion Veterans Motorcycle Poker Run. We have attended this ride for a few years now and the purpose is to raise money for the Poppy Fund which goes to help out our veterans.
There was 135 riders and we visited 5 legions throughout Lambton and nearby Kent counties.
The weather co-operated today quite nicely and the ride was great!
Attached are some pictures from the day.
There are quite a few so enjoy!
Cheers, Terry
Met the group at the local Tim Hortons
Starting point at the Corunna Legion in Corunna, Ontario.
First stop: Wyoming Legion in Wyoming. Ontario.
Second stop: The Legion in Alvinston, Ontario.
Third stop; The Legion in Thamesville, Ontario.
Fourth stop: Legion in Wallaceburg, Ontario.
Last stop back at the Corunna Legion. Terry won 3rd place with a straight and donated half of the money back to the Veterans Poppy Fund.

Adventures with the "Scorpios"
September 10, 2017.
Today's adventure took us on the 35th Annual Lady Luck MC toy run. Proceeds from the run go to St. Clair Child and Youth.
There were 137 motorcycles registered today with over 200 people riding.
The ride started at 1:00 pm under the Bluewater Bridges in Point Edward Ontario.
The ride was throughout the county (Approx. 92 Kms) and then ended back at the Lady Luck MC clubhouse with a BBQ and refreshments.
Another very well organized event which raised with a combination off monetary donations and toys approx. $4,000.
An awesome day of sunshine and warmth for the ride!
Enjoy the photos!
Cheers, Terry

Adventures with the "Scorpios"
September 17, 2017.
It has been a week since I have posted as this past week we have been really busy.
On Tuesday, September 12, 2017 we lost our beloved mother at the age of 84. She fought hard but finally the disease took her in the end. My mother was a small fiesty woman, and excellent mother and grandmother with a heart of gold.
We will truly miss her. Rest in peace Mom.
Love, Terry & Suzie

In the spirit of posting our adventures I am going to add some photos of the guys trip we took last summer to a fellow riders cottage in Northern Ontario.
Much the same as other posts it gives people an idea of the places to visit, ride to, and enjoy in the province of Ontario.
This trip was to Thessalon Ontario which is halfway between Sault Ste Marie and Sudbury Ontario on the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy 17). We took the ferry from Tobermory to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island.
While there we did a day trip 225 Kms north to Chapleau Ontario on Hwy 129. A beautiful ride throughout the rugged country.
Enjoy the photos. I will post soon after our next excursion!
Cheers, Terry
Waiting for the ferry at Tobermory.
Inside the hull of the Chi-Cheemaun ferry.
The pier at Thessalon, Ontario.
Our friends cottage.
Chapleau, Ontario.
We were welcomed at the Legion in Chapleau, Ontario
All loaded up prior to the 8 hr ride home.

I am sitting having tea in West Vancouver, and this is the view across the water, south towards Vancouver. Lots of sailboats out.... and sometimes I think that my parents are the wind in my sails. Gently nudging me in the right direction, or maybe a bit more force to get my attention and steer my ship right..... but always there....always there.

Since mid this past week we have been having a surprising heat wave here in Southern Ontario. This is totally out of character for this time of year in our part of the country. It has been so warm and humid that it is very uncomfortable to ride. All suppose to change back to normal come Thursday of this week.
Attached are some pictures outside the man cave taken this morning.
Cheers, Terry
Outside the man cave at 11:30 am.
Suppose to go to 32C today with a humidex of 38C.
