Adventures with the “Scorpios”
January 11, 2018.
First of all Happy Birthday to one of my riding buddies Rob!
Today was a good turn around day. The temperature actually reached 12C (a balmy 54F).
It was welcome after the deep freeze we have been subject to lately.
I even took liberty and washed all the salt and sand off the truck in the driveway. No wonder Suzie and I dont like to be around here when its winter this time of year.
Not to worry, which I’m sure you are not, lol, we will be in the sunny Caribbean by Tuesday next week.
Retirement has its perks, so we will enjoy our 3 month adventure south.
Hope the new year is good to all of you.
More postings once we get south in the warmth.
Cheers, Terry

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
January 17, 2018.
Bar at Belize City Airport
View Wednesday morning from our veranda at the apartment
Looking east out at the morning sea and reef off Ambergris Caye, Belize
Yesterday the 16th was our travel day on our way back to Belize for the winter months. Up at 3 am in Detroit Michigan, on a plane at 6:30 am on our way to Miami Florida. Then Miami Florida to Belize City, Belize.
We waited about an hour for the puddle jumper (Tropic Air) to get to Ambergris Caye in the afternoon.
We arrived finally at our apartment around 4:00 pm Belize time. A heck of a long day of travelling for sure, but we are happy to be here in the sunshine and warmth for the next 3 months.
We will be sharing some of our adventures here while we relax and enjoy retirement.
Cheers to all!

Adventures with the “”Scorpios”
January 18, 2018.
Unfortunately a soggy, wet windy day today.
View from the beach looking north.
View looking south.
Waves crashing over the reef in the distance.
Today was a wet, windy and cool day here in Belize. The temperature was 19C (68F) and that is quite cool for the locals here on the island.
But a far cry better than most of our neck of the woods back home and parts of the US.
We did venture out for a bit today but the rain made it miserable so we stayed pretty much at home.
We will continue to post pics of our outings with the hopes of not boring anyone while we are here.
Thank you to all for following us!
Cheers, Terry

Sounds like a great retirement... Enjoy your time away from "cold" home... I finally did some snowmobiling 160 miles N of my home area last weekend, put on a great, fun 250 miles, what a RUSH!
Hopefully the wife & I can enjoy some sort of retirement in the future as well but we'll see what time & funds will bring us...

Hey jkghdrider thanks. We are enjoying our time here.
That sounds like an awesome snowmobile ride you had recently. It’s like a bike trip only in the snow and of course the cold.
Suzie and I like to say that we have an allergy. It’s called cold weather and snow lol
We will be heading your way in late August heading up Michigan, crossing the Mackinaw and heading to Milwaukee for the 115th.
Hope your retirement works out for the best for you and you can enjoy it.
Thanks again for the post!
