Adventures with the "Scorpios"

Hey Rocky!
I found the Tour Pak used online and purchased it for the trip to Milwaukee.
Then I outfitted it with the luggage rack, the insert LED light, and the antenna and cable for the stereo.
I also purchased the Harley bag that fits onto the luggage rack.
Suzie was real comfortable for the 1100 miles we rode on the trip and it afforded us to pack all the luggage we needed.
Cheers, Terry

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
October 16, 2018.
My good friend Paul and I had a chance recently to get up to the hospital once again and visit our riding friend “Smitty”. Smitty was the one I mentioned earlier that had been in a terrible accident on his Heritage on September 14th.
Im happy to report Smitty is coming along after having a rod inserted in his left leg due to a broken femur, and a right ankle that they had to screw all back together.
After just about a month now he can actually slide out of bed and get to his wheelchair so he can get out of his room and around. He still cannot stand on his own but with physio they are working on that. His road is still a long one to recovery and thankfully we still have him with us, as the outcome could have been a lot worse.
Get well Smitty!
As like most of us up here in the north our riding season has pretty much come to an end. The leaves on the trees have changed and the high temps in the day are only reaching about 50F.
The heat is on in the man cave and the Street Glide is on the tender. It’s almost time to put Suzie’s 370Z away for the winter and get ready to head for some warmer temperatures.
We are not doing anything long term this winter in the tropics but we have a couple of trips booked. I will keep posting of our adventures. To those of us that are required to, stay warm!
More to come.
Cheers, Terry
The leaves are changing colours which means the cooler temperatures are here.
Yesterday’s high was 11C which is 51F for our American friends.

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
October 20, 2018.
Yesterday was a nice sunny day, although not that warm (13C/55F), so I took the opportunity to pack up all the patio furniture and get ready for the onset of the winter months.
Tomorrow they are predicting rain mixed with snow showers. Many of the communities north of us have already experienced the lake effect snow last week, but fortunately we have not had any here just yet.
Once I finished the yard cleanup I took a short walk (about 80 steps) to the beach at the end of our road and then through the park across the road from our house.
The next step will be to put the 370Z into storage for the winter.
I couldn’t resist taking some photos to share with you.
Enjoy!
Cheers, Terry
Baxter Beach at the end of our road.
Over a small knoll and down to the water.
A view at the waters edge with the “Bluewater Bridges” in the distance. These bridges join Canada to the USA.
A tree in the park in full fall color across the street from our house.

I was at Terry's and Suzie's last year for a couple of days...... as a lark, I asked Suzie if a Tornado had ever come close ...... she walks me to the front window of the house, and said ...."in that park across the street"..... Thats the picture Terry posted above.......and NOT the answer I was looking for...... the next day I headed back West to the Rocky Mountains....

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
November 09, 2018.
Sitting in Toronto Pearson International Airport waiting for our flight to the Azores (Portugal).
Flight time “was” supposed to be 8:40 pm. But, alas our Scorpio luck is running thin. First flight time was delayed to 12 midnight and now the latest update is 1:30 am.
Yikes, and the Azore islands is 4 hours ahead of us in time so looks like we should arrive there sometime tomorrow morning before noon.
Notice I said should lol
Will post some pictures of our week long adventure when we get there.
Cheers, Terry

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
November 10, 2018.
We finally arrived on Ponta Delgado, Azores this morning at 11:00 am their time, some 7 hours behind original schedule.
Attached are a few pictures of our view from our hotel room.
Tomorrow we will trek out and see what the city is all about.
Weather is not hot like the Caribbean, but in the 70’s every day.
More pics to come!
Cheers, Terry
Cruise ship in the harbor across from our hotel.
View looking east.
View looking west.
The cruise ship leaving port and onto Fort Lauderdale.
Checking out the beer selections at the bar in the front lobby.

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
November 11, 2018.
Rememberance Day 2018.
We give thanks to all our military past and present.
To our Canadian and American Veterans we say thank you!
Lest we Forget.
Day 2. Ponta Delgado, Azores.
Today we ventured out into the city. Not much happening today as it is Sunday and most businesses are closed.
But we managed to find a mall where we believe most of the locals head on their day off.
Enjoy the pictures. More to come.
Cheers, Terry
The narrow streets of Ponta Delgado. Reminds us of our Spain visit in 2015.
Looking west.
The distance from wherever you choose.
Not a Harley to be found here. These are the largest scooters you will see!
The boardwalk out in front of our hotel close to dusk.
After a long day of walking. What??? You call that a beer??!!!
Much Better!! Now “THAT” I call a Beer! Cheers Everyone!
