A place to stay near Jasper. I live just outside Jasper Park, and if you want to bed down here you are welcome. I've thrown this invite out to other forum members, mostly on there way to Alaska as they go right past my home. A handful have taken up the offer.
All have been real good folks, and it was a pleasure to meet other forum members.
Any way, the offer is out there for you.

Out of Jasper, take Hwy 93 a, which follows the main highway, but gives you a more relaxed ride. Plus, if you like twisty roads, head up to Mt Edith Cavell....

As for Gondola ride I would suggest the clearer the day is more important rather than which one you ride. they're all great on a clear day jmo.
One place I wouldn't miss is Moraine Lake.
Another great secret is Waterton Lakes NP

Enjoy the Mountains. The route from Creston up to the Ferry and then through to Revelstoke via New Denver is some of the best Motorcycle roads anywhere.
Oh ya... it will be a full day from Cranny to Revy with two boat rides and stops for pictures. But if you have time in the morning in Cranbrook go to Hotshots up Victoria Ave for morning coffee. They also have good food and a great place to sit outside. If you see a bunch of Harley's there tell them Rock says hi and I am on the road again .... lol.

I was hoping to get into HD for a couple of shirts but it's not looking good. Booked a room in Revy, holy crap, not many left! We're going need a break one of these days, the wife and I have done 1400 miles in 3 days! I just figured about 250 miles up to Revy along the lakes, another full day!
PS if I see your friends I'll tell them I drove 1400 miles to let them know you were out again! LOL!
