Default info on north central states, Mich, Min, Wis, Ohio, Indiana

So after our run this summer and seeing some Oregon Nevada Nebraska Utah and Idaho, I feel better about claiming them. Some of the states in the heading I have not seen or only touched a corner, or landed at an airport... ha. Illinois should probably be on that list also.

Thus looking at a trip up there. We are more history and natural attraction oriented. Any Suggests on what and where in Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin or Illinois? Thinking maybe circle through. Fill in more on my visited map. Thanks

If you're into the history of HD motorcycles...the museum in Milwaukee is a must see.

We have a lot of lighthouses here in Michigan along with a lot of fresh water lakes to tour.

Most visitors seem to get a thrill out of crossing the "Might Mac" bridge that connects the Upper and Lower Michigan peninsulas, and of course the "Soo Locks" up in Sault Ste. Marie.

Doing the Lake Superior tour is also a popular attraction and doing the northern half of the loop requires a passport to get into Canada but the southern half (Michigan) side offers some good scenery too.

Hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, camping, etc., Michigan has it all and the scenery up near and around the Copper Harbor area and the Porcupine Mountains is well worth the trip. For the history buffs we also have the Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn which is very interesting.

If you're doing a Midwest circle, I recommend including the Lake Express high-speed ferry across Lake Michigan from Muskegon MI to Milwaukee in your route. This has the advantage of letting you avoid Chicago traffic.

Visit the H-D Museum while you're in Milwaukee

Why do you have to have it roll off your lips? It's a pretty damn cool mall.
