another visor vote. Helps a lot. Full face hats steam up a lot, too.... if I remember right
Goggles or the glasses with the foam around the edge help as well. More than regular sun or safety glasses. See my windshield though? Your mileage may vary

Ditto, half and bandana with glasses. I ride through the winter also (leathers and chaps) so the cold wind will sting. But I like it. In my younger days I had full face, rain suit or snow suit, and rode all year in VA. Then you'll want hand warmer, then butt warmer, and on and on. I still prefer open in the wind over full face and windshield. Besides, helps keep your focus sharp for avoiding rain ruts, and you feel like a kid again getting caught in the rain.

The most economical way would be rain goggles, or "over-the-glasses" goggles.
A few year ago someone was selling a large, goggle mask that worked well with no helmet at all but I had a problem getting it fit properly when I was wearing my 1/2 helmet.
I can't remember the name of the company and I haven't seen that mask lately but it has to be here, somewhere!
I ride a bagger and I use a 1/2 helmet, with a tinted, "drop-down, internal face shield" when the temp allows.
I usually keep the shield up and wear transition type sunglasses.
In a light rain, I drop the shield in order to keep my glasses as spot-free as possible, but when the rain gets heavier, I pull the rain hood out of my rain jacket and put in on under my helmet and then drop the face shield.
Regardless of what you do, or wear (I have gators, rain mittens and a rain suit) sometimes the rain just gets to heavy or the wind gusts can make riding too hazardous and that's when you need to find immediate shelter.
Even if you think you can "make it" through the rain, other motorists may not be able to see you and you will be the loser in any accident.
