Yes, would be a nice ride. Seems like that state route 141 had a bunch of work done a couple years ago and should be good. If you’re feeling parched or hungry while on the way to the 200/83 junction, Trixi's Antler Saloon near Ovando is a fine stop.
I did Cody, Chief Joseph and Beartooth last year for the second time. I am thinking I might come back through Yellowstone for a couple of days. Maybe do them again.
That’s on my route for Sturgis next year on the Panhead.
Get to Sheridan .... then .... Alternate Route 14 to Cody, Chief Joseph & The Beartooth, Red Lodge, over the Little Belt mts through Neihart, 89 From Great Falls to St Mary’s.
This is a awesome ride. The first time I went over 14A back in the 80;s, parts weren't even paved yet. Now its great.
Stayed at the Cheap sleep on S 93 in Whitefish. Cinder block and plain but cheap and i slept just fine. Whitefish is a cool town, great brewery downtown. Ride up to big mountain and try the Hell Roarin saloon, its a beautiful ride and a great bar. Also stopped at Packers Roost, its a dive biker bar and had a couple paranoid shitbirds there, but they were just talk. Visit the old Mt man that hangs there, he carves nice buckles out of antlers. On a side note if you have time a ride to Rexford and take 37 S to Jennings. Lake Koocanusa is gorgeous. Have fun!
If you come back through Flathead lake you can stop at our cherry stand on the east side. Big log house on the highway 1/2 mile north of Yellow Bay. On the lake side.
