Hi guys, a "3 certificate holder" here. IBA # below.

GLAD to see you start this thread.

It appears you are based out of Colorado.....GREAT rides there mate.

For the long haul rides, straighter the roads the better of course.

I'll follow you guys here on HDF. Toss in some encouragement when I can.

Go Man Go!

I didn't start this thread, but happy to be here. Yes, Colorado has some outstanding roads and views. Planning on another SS1000 next Spring. Hoping more Iron Butt riders show up on this thread.

I understand and agree.

Do you (or anyone else) know what a curated something something even is?

Haha! I have no idea what it means or what's going on here. I just saw the thread and replied thinking there'd already be others here. Guess it's just us kids right now.

I've done 3 iron butt runs but never bothered to register any of them. I,m sure plenty of riders have done the same.
I just couldn't be bothered.

There have been several Iron Butt related threads on here. I'm not particular fan of the Curated Content threads, as they're basically empty click-bait pages that generally lack content. I suppose it's news to someone.

I did read this one through, and didn't find any screaming errors. If you're interested in Iron Butt rides, just go to their website and forum. Higher quality content over there, and fewer occurrences of nay-sayers too.

Got my first cert back in '04. Have a few more since then, but have learned how to use IB techniques to stretch out my riding range and maximize my vacation time.

Yes, I have heard of this before. Likely mainly the SS1000.

Like Biglew55 said is saying below, there are some advantages to get involved with the IBA site itself.

Congrats for your CERT.

What is a Curated Content Thread?

As far as I can tell, it seems to be someone's job to find info on other websites to put together in a "story" on the forum's site. Then they create a thread with a link to the story.

The catch is, IMO, the info is lacking and the page that it is posted on has more advertisements than a free **** site (not that I'd know about that kinda thing...).

I'm guessing they plucked this straight from someone else's site. I wouldn't be surprised if it is straight plagiarism.
