Default Trip from CT to Fla

I may be crazy, but I want to deliver my softail chopper to Fla next summer/fall so its there when I retire in Jan 2019. Trailering it would suck but riding would be fun, and I can fly home. Trip would be secondary roads only, spread over 6 days riding plus a couple 2-day stops visiting my son near Ft. Meade and friends in Charlotte and Kings Bay GA. I layed out this rough route with a little help, anyone have any ideas or comments?

https://*******/maps/hVFDJFweNt42

looks like you will have to put goo[dot]gl where the ***** is

This is the bike, I figure a bag on the bars and one on the passenger seat (folds out) would get me there. Maybe carry a gallon of gas too?

Am I nuts or what? My last long trip was 2300 miles in 7 days to visit my son when he was stationed in Ohio and back, but that was on my road king.

Thanks!

It would help if you could try to re-post the route.

OK - but this forum won't let you link to google maps. You have to type in goo[dot]gl where the ****** is here:https://*******/maps/fQDHnfsdzj42

I would definitely pick up Hwy A1A out of Jacksonville & follow the coast
down as far as possible then cut across . A real nice ride down by the coast .

Traveled 441 and 129 from East Tenn. a couple times. I enjoy staying away from the interstates. On the Sportster I would stop about every one hundred miles for gas, the restroom and a snack and drink. I had a good seat and could run about 500 miles a day traveling.

Thanks guys. I have been down A1A a few times, St. Aug is one of my favorite spots, but I am not thrilled with the traffic. I prefer to run down the center of the state, where there's nothing but citrus and trailer parks, lol.

My gas tank is good for about 100 miles, too. So that's my plan. If I can see some sights and make 300+ miles a day, I'd be happy.
