Default Starting to get excited

Back in 2015, after what should have been my final deployment, my Dad rode from Houston to Vegas to surprise me for Christmas. It was the best Christmas present I could have ever hoped for. Now, it is my turn to return the favor. I won’t get much notice but my Dad has been telling me all about this trip he has planned. The day after he retires in late April, early May, he is riding out to see my sister in Austin. My sis knows I am coming, he does not. He is planning to head North from her place with the journey being the destination in mind. Im going with him.

The first two two days are going to be straight Interstate cannonball for me. Ride as long and as hard as I can to make it from Vegas to Austin as quickly as possible. My Sis says she will find a way to delay his leaving until I get there. Im sure that once I do, we won’t be going anywhere that night. After that, I’m going to ask him if we can ride back to Houston so I can see my Grandfather and my little brother before we head North for two weeks of whatever.

My Dad has been talking about this trip for a good 6 months now. He keeps saying he wishes I could get the time off work to go with him. Little does he know...

Update time. My Dad retired today. I spent the day finalizing the time off from my two jobs. The rest of the day was spent making sure the bike was ready. Early tomorrow, I head out. If you happen to see an idiot riding eastbound on I-10 with a **** eating grin on his face, throw me a wave
