Hi all. I'm planning to ride to Fredricksburg Texas this summer to go the National Museum of the Pacific War. I was looking for a place to stay and came up with Hog Stop Inn and Ice Haus, but I can't seem to find a website or any reviews. Does anyone here have any experience with them?

you think it's maybe Tubby's Ice House in Fredericksburg? Ton of good reviews on them on Google maps

We’ve stayed in The Fredericksburg Inn and the Hampton Inn and they were both nice places.

 

Stayed at the Peach Tree Inn and Suites a while back. It's like a 1950s motor court. Walking distance to the museum and food. Reviews are still good.

 

I have not stayed there although I have been to Fredricksburg. A search shows 10207 East US Highway 290, Fredricksburg. Listed under Mom and Pop Motels. It may not be there any longer was a B&B.

 

I second the Peach Tree Inn. You are within walking distance from museum, and not too far if you drink and listen to the bands all along Main St. We just visited the Naval Museum and it was a great day. As for Ice Haus, there are tons of great bars and restaurants on Main St. If you are riding in, Luckenbach is a must stop for beer and live music. Its only 15 minutes away. If you have time, definitely ride the 3 Sisters.

 

We ate lunch in Fredericksburg Friday. We ate at a German place that was also a bakery. Good lunch. We also stopped in Luckenbach. Ride on up to Llano and go to Coopers BBQ. They put out some good food.

 

Are you going to hit the 3 Sisters while you're there ? Luckenbach ?
