How do you handle in the rain and deal with a (tubed) flat?

Don't like riding in the rain much, but it is part of riding , my biggest concern was vision, I got a HD helmet with the flip up shield, and is much better, slow down, only ride in your own comfort level, better to stop and be safe if you feel uncomfortable, in hot weather, watch out for the oils in the road right after a rain starts

Depends on how pretty you are. I was in a group of 4 and the lead rider abruptly pulled over off from a 4 lane highway at an old friends house. Rear female missed the turn and pulled off 100 yards down the road. Within minutes, a biker and then a truck had pulled off behind her.
Rain sucks as far as I am concerned and scares me. I am the one under the overpass. I have yet to learn how to steer into a slide on a bike simple since I avoid it. Only twice has it happened for me and both time, I have just been lucky. One time, it actually helped since when rear went out, I gave it gas, went with it and was able to miss a car that not looking and had come out of a side road in front of me and stopped in time for me to go in front of him. If I had hit him, it would have surely put me into oncoming traffic.

Looks to me like the Ride-On not only helps in wet conditions (I get the wiggle on my Bridgestone's too) but also wrt punctures.
I'll get some.
I do want to try the spoke wheels for a while for daily commuting since, if a tire gets punctured all I have to do is replace the tube and not the whole tire.
