I figure I bought my bike to ride and carry what I need to ride. So that stuff doesn’t bother me, but the best addition I did that keeps the rack less full is pulling a trailer.

Another vote for the HD collapsible bag. I have used one for over 8 years and it's still holding up just fine. My other half started traveling with me over the past two seasons so I broke down and bought a trailer this spring. I just got it painted to match.

Google search dry bags for motorcycles there are lots of options, I use a firstgear bag that works great. As far as bungees I use Rok Straps check those out they are awesome that is all I will use now.

I have had 3 Ultra's all with the Harley rack on the tour pack. In over 250,000 miles the Harley tourpack bags never caused any damage to the bikes. If you are riding solo there is a bag called the Ultra and goes where the passenger sits.

I have the Tbag Dekkar II love it easy to strap to rack every thing stays on bag un like the HD bag that has the short clips that have to be removed with the bag to avoid paint damage which I also own.

I just used a towel to lay down on the rack, put my travel bag on it and strap it down with a 1" strap and ratchet. (bundles it all together) I also use cloths under the strap for the edges as protectors. If I suspect we might hit rain, I strech a 39gallon trash bag over to protect it from the rain (1" strap goes over it). The bag is huge, its ment for attaching to sissy bar and when loaded it makes the bike top very top heavy, so gots to be carefull

The bag is much like this one, got mine from Rual King. Used mostly for bedding when were camping

my paint was damaged after touring for 7 weeks , I wish I’d thought of protecting the paint under the rack . Good idea
