The athletic underwear mentioned somewhere before help. They do not bunch up on me and dry quickly, I sweat a LOT.
Under armor is $$. Academy has a brand that work well. You can get them at wal mart too. Longevity of these not yet ascertained. Start at $5 a pair and pay as much as you want to $20.

What pants to wear for a ride is one of those thoughts that never enters my mind. I usually have jeans on every day so when I decide to go for a ride it is with whichever pair of jeans I have on at the time.
If it is cooler weather I put on chaps or at least through them in the bag for when I need them
