America Rides Maps

Has anyone used the America Rides Maps? I'm going to spend a week in the smokey mountains and was thinking about buying the total map set to help me plan my rides. Is it worth the $50 to buy the whole pack? I'm going to spend about 4 days based at the iron horse lodge in robbinsville, then from there I'll ride north on the BRP and into West Virginia for a couple days of riding before heading home.

Here's a link the maps. https://americaridesmaps.com/product...age-all-9-maps

I like mine! If I only had more than one week at a time to tour the area!

I hear ya. I really wish it wasnt a day and a half ride just to get there. I hate chewing up vacation days just to get there.

I have a set and they are excellent. They are water resistant and are easy to pack. I keep mine in my windshield bag.

I would stop at smokey mountain harley and ask . We have bin there for 2 separate weeks and still cannot do all the roads they send us on ! The locals know where to ride , road conditions and what to avoid ! enjoy the trip !!!!!!!

I think I'm going to go ahead and order the whole map package. Hopefully I'll be able to use them for multiple trips.

I am a big fan of Butler Maps myself, I'd never heard of America Rides, but it might be because it doesn't appear they cover my area at all (wyoming). Butler covers virtually the entire country.

Limited to the areas in and around the Appalachian mountains. They are highly detailed with fuel stops, bike stops, , shops, etc. There's also going to be a set coming soon that shows some dual sport trails for semi off road riding. That opens up a whole new world of riding adventures.

Just go to this site and print off maps for free:

https://tailofthedragonmaps.com/

or the Iron Horse Lodge has maps also:

http://ironhorsenc.com/maps/regional-maps/

And, don't forget to sign up for dinner and breakfast daily at the Iron Horse and it will be waiting for you!

here's a suggestion:
Day 1: out of Iron Horse (IH) make a right and go up Moonshiner 28 past Fontana Dam and then up the Dragon (stop at Deals Gap), continue to Vonore and around to Tellico Plains (stop at HD dealer), stop at Tellico Kat's Deli for lunch on the river, then up the Cherohala Skyway. As you get to the end of the Skyway on the left is the Thundermountain Deli/Store..You may just see some of the crew from the TV show Moonshiners there..
Day 2: Over to Cherokee and up 441 and across the Smokey Mountain Park (stop at top Clingman's Dome), then down into Gatlinburg and on to Pigeon Forge. You can get back to Iron horse by going thru Wears Valley Road (321) thru Townsend and then down the Footshill Parkway and back down the Dragon.
Day 3. Head over to Asheville via the Blue Ridge Pkwy and visit Biltmore Estate, then back..
Day 4. Head south on Moonshiner 28 and see all the different water falls and sights along the way...

Alternatives: Head up to Maryville on Saturday to the Harley dealer, they usually have live bands and other things going on..Call before going just to check..
Smokey Mountain Knife works is a great place to visit up in Sevierville...
