Agreed! ^
I was actually taking a pic of this guy rolling around on my right side. I heard the gf yell something, and when I turned to see what the fuss was about, that guy was a couple feet to my left. He appeared to be givin me the stink eye, as I was in his way and he had to go around, but fortunately he woke up on the right side of the bed that day and decided not to Ndam Suh me!
ie..Smash me like a bulldozer and stomp on my head.
(attached are a few more random)

A live one. The dead ones taste pretty good, granted I've only had it once at Al's Oasis.

Curious to know where you got your information. Haven't been able to find any info concerning the road. I'll be out their in Sept. and would definitely make good use of the road if paved.

I can tell by the smile on that beautiful woman of yours you had a great time!!!! We encountered probably over 100 buffalo during the 2011 rally but none were close to the road thank goodness!

Great pics Seafus, looks like you had a great time and hopefully you can get out that way again.
did you see any rattlers?
like the pic of the mountain goat, where did you see him?
im heading out for the rally this august so hopefully i wont be seeing any of those bison up close and personal like the one that almost "bumped" into you.

Glad you had a great time and awesome pics. I went to Sturgis once during the week of the start of the rally and agree about the crowds starting to thin out towards the end. I plan to take the "new" wife soon and hit it a few weeks before the rally, that way she can have a taste of the crowds but also be able to get around without hitting too much traffic. Good to know in June can be just as fun.

I prefer the Black Hills during a non-Sturgis time period. I want to ride the roads and not sit in a parking lot.

My thoughts as well! I intend to go back during the "off season", but i didn't enjoy my last trip to the rally all that much. There's just too many people for this old geezer!
