Default Smoke Report, 2018....

..... I thought maybe a smoke report thread might help. I will start. Here is a picture of the Rocky Mountain trench from my balcony. No mountains. BC has a complete campfire ban on.

Maybe not exactly in line with the OP but I have family flying out to California to do a road trip along the coast the end of August. Driving in car from LA to San Fran.
Anyone have input as to conditions right now out there? I'm just wondering if all these fires are going to be an issue for them.

I can only see about 1/4 of the way across the valley and can feel the smoke in my throat.

i live outside Sacramento and the smoke is so bad that there is ash all over the cars in the morning. I posted a YouTube video when I rode through Napa last week. You can see the brown heavy smog crap.

Geez, the news out here in NJ has been showing some coverage but I;m sure it in now way conveys how bad it is. Thank you all for the info on conditions.. Hope you all stay safe out there!
