Last time I was there was in 2015 and again staying in Harrison but it was the same time as BBB. It was wall to wall bikes even around the Harrison area just like during Sturgis Rally. I don't expect riding in the immediate Fayetteville area to be all that much fun due to heavy bike traffic but at least be able to say been there done that!

The Rockies are the Ozarks on steroids.
You can ride for 2 weeks and not see it all. The high altitude mountain passes are spectacular. No place incontinental US that comes close to the multiple places to ride. Canada, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado.

But be ready for weather changes. Bring rain gear, prepare for hail.

I, like you, live in wonderful and flat Nebraska but head down to Lake of the Ozarks regularly. Compared to NE the roads in Missouri and northern Arkansas are heaven. Would agree with most that the Rockies are more fun and more scenic - but to get to the lake you do not have to ride I-80 for eight hours on end before you get to the fun stuff. Head down to St Joseph - turn east and start scouting. Just get a good map of the area and look for the county roads and smaller state highways. Highway M from Sedalia southeast to Stover is nice and twisty. Hwy 5 on the south side of the lake will take you up and down regularly. Just watch out for the Amish carriages in certain areas.

We spent a week in NW Arkansas back in June. We stayed in Harrison at a little cabin. So many great roads to ride there! Different from the Rockies, even different then the Smokey Mountains. I would recommend that area as a new location to ride in.

Found this, we may try this area later this month. Do these routes look like good choices to those of you who are familiar with the area?

I think I'm going to ride my Wide Glide down to Lake of the Ozarks for the day on Saturday. Its about 3 hours or so from where I live. Since I've gotten the Street Glide I haven't really ridden my Wide Glide much further than an hour or two from home.

Route #5 Moonshine Run is the best, if you can only do one route do that one. Route #2 would be my second favorite, but none of them are bad.

Well, I rode down to Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday and farted around. Longest ride I've had on my Wide Glide since I bought my SGS. I had to be back in STL that night so only stayed down there till around 2 or 3. Its the closest I've ever come to a "rally", so I don't know how big it actually is. Kind of coincidence that YouTube picked the clip photo to show another Laguna Orange Street Glide, that one isn't mine though. I figured there would be enough Street Glides down there and I wanted to take the WG anyway.
