I use an older Sea to Summit one. Its shaped to fit into the hood of my sleeping bag. I have no issues with it, other than it being small-but, its supposed to be small to fit in the space it is

I use a Sea to Summit Premium inflatable. Size large.

Packs down to smaller than a baseball.

Thermarest offers a variety of different pads with different thicknesses.

Mine I think is the Base Camp for compactness. Better than nothing but you better hope there isn't a rock or something under you.

I keep one in my truck for my wife so she can snooze on long trips. Had it for years.

Do you just open the valve and let the sleeping pad self inflate or do you manually inflate (blow into the valve) the pad?
I always blow into the valve to manually inflate the sleeping pad for firmer support. Never had an issue with rocks or tree roots.

I store it blown up. Deflate for travel then blow it up as much as I can. Then try to blow it up even more before going to sleep. It's only 1-2 inches thick fully inflated.
