The White mountains arent too bad yet. Riding during the day may be chilly, but bearable. I hear there is already ice up top of the mountain, so I would rule that out. However, a nice ride up the Kancamangus is scenic. In Lincoln, there's plenty of places to dine and relax. Black Mountain Burger is a good place for a burger and a beer (but can be crowded on the weekends). The Woodstock Inn and Brewery is also a fantastic place to grab a bite and a burger. And, they have rooms if you are looking. I have never stayed there, but I have eaten and drank there a few times.

The Adirondacks is getting towards peak leaf peaking / fall foliage season this coming week if you do come up this way.

Have stayed at the sherwood as well as the canyon motel in wellsboro. Would stay at both again. few restaurants and bars with in walking distance.

Try the cheese steak at the wellsboro house.

Geezer Glides list was pretty good. Ellictoville is also a nice little resort town in WNY if you need another stopover.

Thanks to all. I'm loading it all into the Harley trip planner. That way I can just enjoy without having to navigate.

Here’s another vote for the Sherwood - it’s your basic mom and pop place but it’s priced right, clean, has good beds and the owners are great. Stay there every time I ride around Welsboro, they even have a bike wash station if you like to clean the bugs off! Right on Main St with good restaurants and a couple of Pubs in walking distance.

I just got back from my trip. Thanks to all for their input, but especially Geezr. You picked great roads for me, and even the lunch spot was terrific. I come to find out that the new proprietor is from my neck of the woods. It's a father-son combination. Super nice folks.

Best wishes
Emil

That's great, Emil. Glad it worked out. The northwest quarter of PA is great country. Anything west of 15, and north of interstate 80. Just pick a road from Point A to Point B, and it's probably a pretty nice ride! I never get tired of riding in northwestern PA.
