I have hit a couple DUI checkpoints outside of events before, heck most of them are near the college bars. I guess they are targetting college kids who party. How horrible of them. People drink and ride, as stupid as that is, so you cannot fault cops for checking up on DUIs from a big party like that one. And from the looks of it of it that is a hell of a party. BTW I was pulled over at the rally for speeding on loaner bike and the cop and I laughed and he let me go, because I was in the HOG Rally. But then again all our rides were police escorted with several hundred bikes and the town had banners and signs welcoming us and to have a nice time. I guess it depends what kind of rally you go to.

 

seems States are hopping on the bandwagon and 'naming' areas to pull in riders and tourism dollars. Like the Devils Den in WV.....that was a new one to me despite having ridden the area.
