Yes you can, I think it is closer to the event that single event tickets are available online. You can also just ride up on that day and get a one night wristband. I think Kid Rock was $85 this year at the gate.

 

Regular tickets yes. If you want any of the VIP upgraded tickets, get them in advance, many of those sell out fairly quickly

 

 

They are really expensive if you buy them during the rally. Price has gone up a bit already but I bought a 6 day pass a couple of months back for $175 that covers all concerts and tent camping. Probably about $200 now and will continue to increase to about $500 near rally time. but if you plan on more than one or two shows it's much cheaper that way. Especially if they have a big draw act there Like Kid Rock the tickets will be even higher.

 

I'm not a big fan of crowds but if you've never stayed at the Buffalo chip ,OMG buy the 6 day pass it's a mandatory to at least once stay at the chip I've been to sturgis About a dozen times and I'll tell you what it's an experience everyone should enjoy at least once, You might not remember much but it will be fun

 

The Chip is a cool place, we where there for a visit this year & well worth the $$$, I'll be back in 2020, our rms are reserved..

 

What are some good sources to find rooms in and around Sturgis and any recommendations would be appreciated.

 

I would recommend staying at the 1st gold hotel and casino in Deadwood. If you want to do the motel if you want quiet camping my friends over at horsethief campground on 16A just outside the Hill City another really good spot ,the place is literally covered with places to stay
