We decided to bring the bike home in the u-haul for the work. He had the motor done a year and a half before the trip so as to not have any problems. After the work the engine had a noise that they where trying to find, had thought it was in the top end. The shop is rebuilding the motor for him for free. he bought a 2012 for touring and is keeping the King ( his deceased brothers bike ) for around home.

Awesome trip
Thanks for the incredible pictures !! Looks like it was an awesome adventure. Had a co-worker take three months off last summer and put on 28,000 kms. Rode from Sarnia, ON to Yukon. Went through 3 sets of tires, no engine or mechanical issues but was trip off a lifetime. Did it on a Suzuki 900, not quite sure. Hope your mechanical issues get sorted out. Cheers !!

Absolutely stunning! We've ridden thru some of the areas in your ride, but many we have not.
You've given us some ideas for our next ride up that way. Thank you!
Glad you had a great ride around. Sorry about the bike, but sounds like he's getting a new engine out of the deal!
