Glencoe Campground cabins
 

Thinking of staying in Glencoe this year [will be 3 or 4 of us] looking to hear from anyone with experience staying in the cabins

I understand there are 3 types[ prefer one with a toilet and shower] not a deal breaker tho----would like feedback from anyone that,s had experience

If you've done Glencoe and prefer another place would like some input there also------wife is not opposed to a hotel-I would rather experience the Campground

Glencoe is probably all booked up now unless ya wanta rough it

FYI-----I contacted them directly--they have plenty of options still open for this year and next year for those interested

They do 4 day stays and 6 day stays on either end of the week

Girlfriend and I stayed for the 75th, did a tent for two nights, wanted the experience, Campground was fantastic, showers clean, plenty of food and supplies. Cabins looked nice. bring ear plugs!

I've camped at Glencoe a couple of times ... It's an experience for sure ... You'll not be bored :>)

Not to hijack the thread, but how is the entertainment there as far as bands/DJ? I've heard mixed reviews. Any big name bands that played in the last couple years?

I was at one of the RV sites not a cabin. It tended to be a bit dusty but somewhat near the facilities which were spartan but cleaned often. I believe there are a few by the showers that are in the shade - that's a huge bonus.

I didn't really like much of the music last year. The sound wasn't very good any of the times I was there and the crowds were not very big.

On a good note there's a guy with a food truck next to the laundry building with absolutely awesome food. I ate there all but one day.

we stayed there last yr. we were in one of the fema trailer brought from my area. 2 br. 1full bath..kitchen and pull out couch. they are located on the quiet side of grds. Bever bar was outside fence bout 300 yrds away. we had several huge motor homes pk cross the st. great people. one drove up and wiggled into place, door flew open and him and wife come out he has a 5th fire ball. never seen us before and says "lets take a drink". as i said fun people.I would stay again.
