Needing some local perspective on the San Diego Ca area. So this summer I plan to retire my old 09 Street Glide. It will hit 100k this spring. I will be flying into southern California and buying another one. I don't want a brand new one because this will be a 4500 mile trip and I don't want to break in a new one bike on my trip. Not a big fan of the new M8 motor either. So, that being said, looking for a 15-17 street Glide in black, with Nav. Im sure that's not gonna be a problem. But, from there I want to start by going into mexico at Tiajuana on the bike. Is there a certain border crossing that is better than the others? From there I will be taking the coastal highway to northern Cali. before heading back to KC. Im looking for a seasoned San Diegoan with as much personal knowledge on border crossing to clue me in. And then any tips and advise on places to stop and see in Cali. Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
