If his situation is like mine that is far better than having to check in while on the road or receiving 100 texts and voicemails asking where you are, are you alive, etc.
Just don't answer or tell her your at Pats eating a cheese stake, then she will be thinking your down town at the strip clubs too.

I will make about 4 trips a year to my parents, sometimes bike sometimes car. My wife doesn't say anything but she worries so when I stop I will text her.
