Topeka, Kansas to Gulf Shores
I know how to get there for you clever people. Just looking for ideas, koool places to visit or see during the route down from Kansas, More than likely the route we take is gonna be once we get around south of Springfield, Missouri we will take highway 65 south until we get to highway 98 at Natchez, Mississippi. Then take highway 98 to Gulf Shores
Thanks in advance!!!!!

Hwy 65 thru Arkansas is ok and it is faster if you want to make time. But once you get to Harrison. Hwy 7 into Hot Springs is a lot nicer ride in my opinion. Its not bad from Hot Springs to the LA state line. You could go down to Hot Springs then head over to Pine Bluff and pick up 65 there if you have the time.

Moundville in south Bama is a cutaway Native American burial mound and museum
Pensacola is a short ride from GS and has a free Naval Aviation Museum that's a great way to kill half a day in an air conditioned building
this coming week is forecast for high 90s to triple digit highs for GS with minimum #8 UV factor so bring plenty of sunscreen..
..also red flag wind warnings so watch that rip current.....don't fight it, just float it out and walk a mile back to your blanket when it rolls you out on the beach.
