Before you get to Ashland there is the town of Ironwood which is the home of copper peak ski flying hill. There are tours through out the week with an elevator ride most of the way up. As the people I have traveled it say WILL BE THE HIGH LITE OF YOUR DAY

Copper Peak you say?









Lift closed so I climbed up the hill. Damn steep!

Oh my goodness. That does look like something to see. Does the lift run now to get up to the ski lift? Or else this all closed up now? Thank you for the advice

Yes. From Shawano Take 55 north through the reservation to crandon and go from there. That's one of my favorite roads in Wisconsin..
