Looks like your buddy has a Corbin seat on that Honda. He should be fine after his butt toughens a bit, lol.

Ok gonna add couple updates. Trip hasn’t gone as planned. Second day was gonna ride from Goodland Ks to Vernal Ut. Well at last gas station buddies bike wouldn’t start. Headlight wouldn’t come on either. So thought battery dead so pushed it and it started. Rode to Vernal which was just another 60 miles. Got to motel and started checking things out. Got a multi meter, checked battery and it showed 21 volts. Had no idea a 12 volt battery could be that high.

Started trying to diagnose it and found wiring burn from one end to the other on bike. The voltage regular had stuck and over charged the battery and then burnt wires. There was a Harley dealer in town that was also a Honda dealer. They got it in right away but didn’t have any parts for it. The voltage regulator is part of the alternator. The wiring they couldn’t or wouldn’t fix so i spent the better part of the day cutting wires and making a harness for it.

They ordered a alternator for it and wasn’t gonna come in till next day so I left in the thinking he could catch up when got outta shop. But when they put the alternator on the bike found more problems so he rented a Uhaul and has headed home.
