Kojak's ride to Biketoberfest 2025
 

Joe and I decided to ride to Biketoberfest this year. Last time I went to the fall bike week was during the aftermath of Hurricane Mathews, what an adventure that was! We're pulling out 7 am Wednesday and will ride about 600 miles to Savannah Ga and then roll into Daytona Thursday mid-day. As usual, i'll post a brief daily recap at night starting tomorrow. Weather looks pretty damn good this year.

Joe and I did around 630 miles today. We met just before 7 am, itt was 48 degrees and dark. We were geared up without heated gear. By the time we got into Charlotte, it was mid 70’s and we were shedding gear. All around, an excellent day of riding with no traffic jams and great weather.

Well done. Heated gear is a game changer when necessary. I’ve had people in cars look at me like I’m out of my mind riding on some really cold days not knowing I’m plugged in feeling very comfy and enjoying myself.

We left Savannah at 8 am and rode the 212 miles to destination daytona in record time. Weather was perfect, 50’s early morning and high 70’s in the afternoon. Cops were out in force in both Ga and Fla today, at least 10 speeders pulled over between Jax and Ormond. Thank heavens for Waze, lol.

Mandatory stop at Buccees for gas

We met Rich and Nicole for lunch at Hooligans and then took a walk through the Harley dealership. All their bikes were removed from the building and displayed in the pavillion where they have bike shows in March. The outlet center was closed completely. Decent amount of vendors, probably 70% of march. As soon as we walked into the pavilion, one after another of their sales associates descended on us. There was a really nice CVO ST in hot lap with the 135 that Rich was eying. I almost choked on my beer when the lady said it was only $75k, lol.

We spent the evening hanging out on Rich’s rental in Flagler right on the ocean and then finished the day with dinner at a cool joint called Break Awayz right on A1A.

We started with breakfast at a beach cafe and then rolled into speedway.

Went for dinner in Ponce Inlet at off the hook and then rode back on A1A to Flagler. Spent an hour at a beachside bar and then called it a day.
