Kojak's trip to the Windy 9
We are off to the Windy 9 Friday morning from Winchester Va. I've ridden all over the USA but somehow never made it to this part of the country. We'll ride through Monday and head back home on Tuesday. Looking forward to a good trip and I will post updates every night as usual.

For folks who want to know more: Ohio's Windy 9
I've ridden most of the Windy 9 roads, with the exception of the roads south of Athens - great riding. Enjoy! |

Got to Zanesville around 3 pm. Checked into the hotel and then rode to Muddy Misers. The building was a flour mill in the 1800’s and eventually became a restaurant in the 1950’s. Zane Grey was born and raised in Zanesville and Muddy Miser was a local fisherman who taught him outdoor skills as a kid. Good food and right on the Muskingum River.

It’s supposed to rain from midnight to 9 am tomorrow. Well decide in the morning where to ride, lol.

Wife and I will be riding all day Sunday....probably somewhere your direction. Don't want to intrude and don't know if you have a ride plan that day. Let me know if you want to hook up and ride, or could use a guide, lol.

Hey Casey, before you head out of Zanesville in the AM - check-out the Alan Cottrill Sculpture Studio & Museum if you have not already.
Definitely worth a walk-through. |
It finally stopped raining around 10 am and we decided to explore Zanesville for the day. We started at the Harley dealership, bought a couple of shirts and got out of there. Then we went to see the Y Bridge, only one of its kind in the USA, been rebuilt 5 times since 1814.

Went to a very nice restaurant called the 146 for lunch and then went to checkout the Zanesville Museum of Art. This little museum is packed with pottery artifacts, paintings (some as old as the 1500’s), sculptures including a Ming Dynasty horse. Really cool place to get lost in for a couple of hours!
