Epic Road Trip
Ok this is not directly HD related, so don't flame me, but I saw this on the adventure rider forum I sometimes visit. It's an account, with pictures, of an amazing bike trip through Angola, well worth the read.

Great Post and I Enjoyed Reading This... I've Spent A lot of Time Riding in the Rural Mountains of the Philippines, Way Off Road (NO ROADS)... and NO HARLEY... (Dare I say...Yamaha 125) SO I enjoyed this Off-Road adventure....
Now, back to Paved Highways and BBQ on my Electra Glide... God Bless. "Country Fried"

That is a great story. I read it from beginning to end and it took me like 3 hours. It was well worth it.

I love reading about other peoples adventures...always have...whether they be about bicycling, mountain climbing, hiking, motorcycle touring, etc. - people that are "in the game" versus on the "sideline". There is just something about people going out and doing things that many only dream of and/or by doing things that test their physical and mental limitations, that I find fascinating.
I wandered onto that (ADV) Forum before and was drawn in by some fascinating stories. It has numerous accounts of rides its members have taken. That guy, in particular, definitely has talent for putting into words what he and his companions were going through - in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Of course, riding through remote Africa/Namibia pretty much guarantees a story worth re-telling. Not to mention, he has a way with the camera too. I was hooked right off the bat.
I suspect, that is one guy who is gonna leave this world having lived his life to the fullest, with no regrets.
