Tail of the Dragon
 

Has anybody done this ride? I have a friend that lives in Tennessee and says this ride is a must.Maybe make the trip end of summer.

Absolutely!
Plenty of natural eye candy to gawk at while on the Cherohaa Skyway - but don't try and sight-see your way throught the Dragon... it will bite you. It is a must do trip though. Put it on your calendar.

My mother and her boyfriend are doing that ride this weekend. She has done it several times before and says it is a must.

I did it last year when the road was closed at the end due to a rock slide, so you had to turn around when you got to the end. I got better every time, knew where the cops where and there were not many bikes at all. One of my best biking memories. We rode it fast and as hard as we could. BE CAREFUL it can get you.

Heading that way Wednesday then hitting the Skyway afterwards. It will my first time. Pretty pumped!

Do a search on this forum. There are plenty of stories about the Dragon, nearby areas, and videos as well.

While enjoy other rides in that area won't bother naming them all .. The Dragon should be rode at least once by all riders just to say been there done that.. I've rode it several times and probably will again ..
