Default San Francisco Bay Area Best Rides Question

I'll be in the Bay area in late April on business and plan on spending a couple extra days and rent a bike to explore the area. What are some recommended rides/destination with an hour or two of San Francisco? Napa, Monterrey, Bodega area (fan of "The Birds" movie), etc.

Thanks.

I live about 30 miles from SF and often ride to SF. There are some great rides in the bay area. Hwy 1 is a must. If you rent in SF head to Napa then a off to Santa Rosa you will want to cut across to Hwy 1 for for your return so that you are driving south on your return that way the ocean will be on your left. Ride on an enjoy!

Either direction from SFO is great riding. My personal preference would be Hiway 1 from Pacifica as far south as you want to go!!! Lots to see and do on the way.

Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, Cambria and Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara. I left out a lot. Spectacular scenery, surf etc.

Head up north on the 1. A little past Santa Rosa is the old faithful guiser of California. In the same area is a petrified forest. The rest is just fun.
