Default Riding the Three Sisters

Rode the ride! A couple pics posted pics on page 5.

-----------------------------------
We plan on riding the Three Sisters in the Texas Hill Country in a few weeks. We'll be riding down from DFW area and currently, plan on making this a three day trip. A day to ride down. A day to ride the sisters. And, a day to ride back.

We're looking for cheap lodging and someplace that has or is close to a bar. The smaller the town, the cuter the ladies, the better.
We're hoping to split a single motel room between four dudes to keep it as cheap as possible. One guy said he'd sleep on the floor. I'm calling a bed!

For those that have ridden, do you have any other words of advice for our trip? We're traveling very light and the guys on the Sportsters are thinking about bringing a small 1gal gas can. Comments?

Anything else?

Three Sisters Lodging and Event Center.

On April 1, 2012 the Three Sisters Rally takes over ownership and management of:

Rocky River Camp
751 River Rd
Camp Wood, TX 78833
(830) 597-4239

Cabins and camping on the clear water Nueces river in the heart of three sisters riding. Very close to town, maybe 1000ft.

The women who own and operate Three Sisters Rally are exceptionally fun biker babes.... very very nice.

Tell Sarah.... Mi3ninos sent you.

Hey, thanks for that info. Are there any bars/restaurants in Camp Wood? This is very important to this group.
Also, are you saying there's a Three Sisters Rally on April 1st? What about a place that sells a T-shirt that say's we rode the Three Sisters?

My first post may have been confusing. Three Sisters actually purchased the property formerly known as Rocky River.

Yes bars and restaurants in CW. The Three Sisters Rally is April 13-15

Don't know about t-shirts. I have seen her wear a shirt that says... Save an Interstate Ride a Sister.

Two of the Three Sisters....

What direction do you ride the Sisters? Which way is recommended? Is there a better way?
I was thinking maybe 335, 336 then 337 in that order if we start in Camp Wood.

Or do you recommend 337, 336 then 335?

Also concerning 337, is the interesting part only between Camp Wood and Leaky? What about 337 east of Leaky?

Oh yeah, and this number is not in service. I just tried calling.

The beauty of the 3 sisters are riding them both ways. Sorry about the phone number. Like I said it's changing ownership that weekend. Go to this link for a name and number. They are more knowledgeable than I am and can discuss preferred routes.

How long does it take you to make the entire loop? How many miles would you estimate the loop is?
Thanks for the tips, this is very helpful!

the bent rim bar and grill in leaky has good burgers and cold beer. there is a biker friendly motel called the d'rose inn that is motorcycles only in leaky. you can ride all 3 several times in a day. the bent rim bar and grill has a gift shop with the "i rode/did the 3 sisters" in several styles and sayings.

I've been trying for a couple of years to get over there(!) -- hopefully, 2012.
