Austin to 3 Sisters and Back. Side Roads
 

Hey all,
Here is my favorite ride for a weekend trip. I've done it in 1 day, but its much more enjoyable to spread it out over two stopping to see the sights and scenery.

I like to start from Austin and ride out to Leakey, drop my stuff on and ride 1 direction around the sisters. Hang out in Leakey for the night. Get up and Ride the sisters the other direction and finish the route back to Austin.

Good towns on the route:
Blanco
Luckenbach
Fredericksburg
Leakey
Bandera
New Braunfels
Wimberley

Good Roads: Almost all of them!

Limecreek Road - Game: count the pieces of broken sport bike fairings along the way (i know, not funny, but i have personally donated to that cause)
... The only road that is missing is 16 between kerrville and Bandera

Things/Places to See:
Lost Maples Park
Garner State Park
Exotic animals along Rt 335
Fredericksburg - German food, German beer, Pacific war museum (this will take a long time)
Utopia texas - theres a great little mom and pop greasy spoon for breakfast
Texas Motorcycle museum in Vanderpool (try the meat pies)
Bandera - watch people ride horses to the bar
New Braunfels - stop to dip your feet in the water on the way through town
Wimberley - shopping for the OL
