H-D Ride Planner: can not save route
I consistently get an error message trying to save a planned trip route.
The message is "Error: An error has occurred while trying to connect to our servers. Please try your action again. If the error persists, please wait and try again in several minutes".
I've tried saving at different times of the day thinking the H-D computers were busy but no luck. Any suggestions???
Thanks.

I know i get the same error when my login has timed out. It appears as though you're logged in, but somehow you've timed out. I usually resign in and it works, but also the crappy thing is you might lose your trip. I've gotten better at writing down information with pen and paper and re-firing in the trip info after a hiccup.
It's a PITA, but it doesn't help with waypoints. They have to be re-added later.
I think the ride planner is awesome regardless. Google works pretty good too, but HD is obviously more rider, and HD rider specific. --WOW thanks Obvious Guy!!

I have been testing it with a Garmin GPS for the last week. I have been getting that error message randomly all week. Usually I can ignore it and just save again and it works. I learn to save early and often.
That said, I don't see any reason to use the HD ride planner. It may be slow but it sure is hard to use is about the best you can say about it.
The download into my Garnin worked technically but created a set of similarly named trips that are otherwise unrelated. It was difficult enough to manually switch between them in a car, I don't plan to have that hassle on the bike.
