Equalizer, amp gains and DSR1 settings
Bike = 2014 Electra Glide Ultra Limited
Head unit = Sony xav-ax5000 Amplifiers = two Rockford Fosgate TM400X4ad (in fairing) Sound processor = Rockford Fosgate DSR1 Speakers = Arc Audio Moto 602v2 4ohm (in fairing), Mmats PA601 4ohm (in Hogtunes pods at lowers), Rockford Fosgate tms65 in the tourpak pods Where do I start with all the adjustments? EQ on the HU.... Gains on Amps...… DSR1 settings. Do you set the gains on the amp differently when you have the DRS1? Do you use the EQ on the HO? Set in flat? Set it flat at mid level or low level? Thanks for the support. |

No. I guess Rockford Fosgate decided not to help us here or maybe they didn't like the fact that I didn't buy their "Kit".

did you ever get a answer to your questions?

Sorry, this must have slipped past us. Ideally the radio settings you would want to leave flat, it would be your choice if you wanted to use the crossovers on the amp, DSR1, or radio, however, the DSR1 would be the most accurate and versatile in terms of exact freq., slope, etc. The gains on the amp are always the last thing you set in a system so until you are fully done and "tuned" you would want to leave them fairly low until you are ready at the end to set them properly. The gains on the amp will be generally set differently with a DSP vs. no DSP. The biggest thing would be to make sure you have the crossovers in play and correct for the speakers they control. The EQ on the amp you would want to leave at minimum. If you have any more questions, please feel free to always give us a call at technical support and we can help you out! 800-669-9899 ext.2

Now after the tuning of the DSR-1 I''m a darn good parking lot Dee Jay. I sounds fairly better then before, but when I get out on the highway I have to turn it up to about 40-45 to hear the system. When I DD-1 my amps before the DSR-1 I was at 43 un-distorted, now I can turn the thing to 50 ( which is Max) and hear it some what. My question is , what can I do next to get more out of it? |
also, they never touched the amps, only the DSR-1.

Do you have any pictures of how you fit the amps?
On the DSR-1 some people use High pass on 6.5 and 6x9s . I was told not to use low pass on a motorcycle. Other then that once I set the crossovers to each speaker spec, I use the EQ on DSR-1 to fu e tune, but I'm still playing with it |
