Default Dealer Calls me and says warranty is void

So my bike 2015 CVO Road Glide. 20K miles extended warranty. My mods are Power Vision, target tune and Fuel Moto Ceramic Head pipe. So my bike starts making this horrific noise and its got me spooked, I call my local dealer and they send over someone to pick it up and take a look. Next day they are saying its the main transmission bearing...the next day they are saying that it wasn't the bearing but they are thinking it might be part of the problem...the engine is torn down to the cases and the transmission is gutted. They tell me to wait a few days for the inspector to show up, so I wait...next thing I know I am getting a phone call saying that because of the tuner on my bike there is no longer a warranty on my bike.....anyone else have this issue and if you did how did you get around it? Now my shop is wanting to charge me for everything!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Been discussed before in this forum.

Thoughts, shouldn't they have to proved the tuner caused the failure?

Is there anything you signed regarding the warranty being voided for using a tuner?

They knew the tuner was on prior to the tear down, I'd challenge them. How would the tuner affect a trany bearing........

Sounds like they tore into it without getting prior authorization, then they get in there and didnt find anything and are looking for a billpayer...wonder if the inspector actually made it there?...call another shop with your VIN and ask them what they see under it...

I'd ask them to put their findings and conclusions, to this point, in writing. They may get the idea you're Lawyering up and change their minds. If not, its your first step in fighting the issue anyway.

They shouldn't have touch your bike if it is not under warranty. This is your defense in court. They had to see your tuner before taking everything apart.
Call Harley customer service first.
You need to get a document what is exactly wrong with your bike, then you can get an expert witness in court stating this problem is not related to your tuner. Maybe just a document is enough.

I thought that this model came standard with the SE Tuner? If so you definitely should be covered.

"My mods are Power Vision", NOT Screaming Eagle.
